BTS’ V Prepares to Release “Type 1” Photo Book Amid Military Service

SEOUL — V, a member of the global K-pop phenomenon BTS, is set to release a new photo book titled "Type 1" next month, as announced by his agency, BigHit Music. The release, scheduled for July 9, is described as a collection of personal moments and insights from V, also known as Kim Tae-hyung, captured before his recent military enlistment.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 224-page book includes a range of photographs and experiences personally curated by V to share with his fans, known as the ARMY. The creation of "Type 1" was a deeply personal project for V, involving his direct input in everything from the choice of locations to the design of accompanying bookmarks and photo stickers. The book's theme of rest and reflection is portrayed in a main poster, released on BTS' official social media platforms, featuring V in a relaxed pose leaning against a wall. Currently serving in the military, V is expected to complete his service and return in June of the following year.
